Located inside The Starlight. Venezuelan kitchen of Chef Harold Angola. Avila Grill is a Venezuelan cafe that fuses the flavors of contemporary Latin American and New Orleans cuisines. Our high-quality ingredients are always fresh, corn bread for arepas is hand-made to order, and most of our dishes are gluten free. Our specialties are the traditional Venezuelan dishes such as: – Tequenos (crispy fried cheese sticks) – Pork Arepa Rumbera (8-hour slow-roasted pulled pork, Gouda cheese in fresh handcrafted grilled cornmeal bread) – Beef or Veggie Patacon (Fried sliced green plantain with beef or vegetables; arugula, guacamole, portobello and tomato mix, Gouda cheese, and a touch of green spicy sauce) – Veggie Arepa (Portobello mushroom with avocado and tomatoes, Gouda cheese in fresh handcrafted grilled cornmeal bread)

The Starlight Lounge, located in a historic 18th century two-story creole cottage in the heart of the French Quarter, has a charming upstairs reception area that can be rented for private events with party food cooked and served directly by Avila Grill. We also serve smaller, 10-50 person gatherings in the downstairs bar area. The rich party menu includes New Orleans classics, Italian-, Japanese- and Latin American- inspired dishes; vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
