Since 1840. It all started here. Antoine’s Restaurant is still owned and operated by fifth generation relatives of the original founder, Antoine Alciatore. The world-renowned French-Creole cuisine, impeccable service, and unique atmosphere have combined to create an unmatched dining experience in New Orleans since 1840.
Antoine’s is the birthplace of such culinary classics as Oysters Rockefeller, Eggs Sardou (poached eggs over artichoke bottoms with anchovies, topped with hollandaise sauce), and Pommes de Terre Souffles (those marvelous puffed potatoes Antoine’s helped popularize).
It is Antoine’s Restaurant’s policy to provide only one guest check for any table or party. We are happy to accept multiple forms of payment for any individual guest check. However, we will not issue separate or individually itemized checks.
Francis Parkinson Keyes wrote a novel in 1948, “Dinner at Antoine’s,” which chronicles the splendor of the restaurant. She had heard it said that the proprietor, Roy Alciatore, had been offered untold sums to open branches elsewhere, and he proudly replied, “There can be only one Antoine’s.”
Our exquisite private rooms accommodate from 14 to 300, with a seating capacity of over 700.
The dress code is business casual – collared shirts are required for gentlemen, jackets preferred but not required, no flip-flops, t-shirts, or athletic shorts are permitted. The dress code will be enforced at the manager’s discretion.
