Opening the doors in 2009 in the heart of the mission in San Francisco, flour and water continues to showcase a menu influenced by regional traditions throughout Italy with Northern Californian inspirations led by Executive Chef Thomas McNaughton.
flour + water serves a daily changing menu of house-made pasta exposing the regional variety found throughout Italy, Neapolitan-style pizzas prepared in a wood-fired oven and carefully crafted dishes utilizing seasonal ingredients.
Reservations encouraged, walk-ins accepted.
Flour+Water’s Test Kitchen can seat up to 8 guests for an intimate experience that is completely separate from the restaurant. Each private dining experience includes a chef’s choice tasting menu served in a family style format with Italian wines available by the bottle or as a pairing with each course.
Our Dough Room is completely private and can accommodate up to 14 seated guests. Each private dining experience includes a chef’s choice tasting menu served in a family style format.
Flour+Water was recently remodeled with chic gatherings in mind. The main restaurant space can host up to 50 seated guests or up to 70 for a standing reception. You’ll work directly with our Director of Events to create a personalized menu (including plenty of pasta) and paired wine experience.
