Known most recently for his venues in Palo Alto, Chef Chemel opened Baumé in 2010, received a Michelin star after less than a year in business and then was awarded two Michelin stars for the next nine years in a row. He subsequently opened Bistronomie by Baumé in 2022. Chemel was a top graduate of the culinary school in Moulins, France, graduated from the Lenotre Pastry Academy in Paris, received Certificats De Travail at multiple Michelin three-star establishments, and has taught with Joel Robuchon and Guy Savoy.
