The roots of Creole cuisine can be traced to one woman: Madame Langlois (lang-WAH). A housekeeper to the governor of French Louisiana, Sieur de Bienville, Langlois taught newly settled Parisian women in New Orleans a unique fusion cuisine that combined French culinary traditions with local ingredients and the foodways of nearby Indian tribes. Langlois’ historic classes were at the “culinary crossroads” marking the beginnings of Creole cuisine. Built inside a turn-of-the-century Italian market in the historic Marigny neighborhood, Langlois Culinary Crossroads provides guests with an unparalleled cooking and dining experience in a unique setting. Demonstration and hands-on classes in Creole/Cajun cookery are taught and authentic restaurant quality dining experiences are enjoyed by guests.

Langlois Culinary Crossroads is a next-generation New Orleans dining experience, combining the quality of a restaurant with the style of a cooking school. Langlois offers hands-on and demonstration Cajun/Creole cooking classes, team-building activities, culinary tours, and a retail store stocked with local products, hard-to-find cookware and gourmet to-go food. During our dining events/classes, guests are treated to an entertaining and interavtive hands-on culinary experience that ends with a restaurant quality meal.  In addition, we give you the recipes so you can easily prepare it at home. Food lovers, cooks of all skill levels and the culinarily curious are all welcome!

We are located at 1710 Pauger Street on the corner of Rampart and Pauger
in the Marigny Triangle.

WALKING DIRECTIONS:
From the French Quarter, walk Bourbon Street from Canal to Esplanade. Cross Esplanade, Bourbon Street will become Pauger Street. Four blocks past Esplanade and Bourbon/Pauger will be the corner of Pauger and N. Rampart Street. Langlois is located on the corner.
