Join our Vibrant Gathering around a symphony of Tuscan Flavors. Located In the heart of North Beach SF across the street from Washington Square ParkIn Italian, Acquolina means “mouthwatering” – illustrating what happens when you see a delicious, inviting dish. This phenomenon can only happen when food is made with passion and love. Our Tuscan-infused menu is meant to pair with an assortment of wines, selectively sourced from Italy and California. In the spirit of the Tuscan Trattoria, everything is meant to be authentic – the pasta boiler and the pizza oven came direct from Italy, brought here to guarantee a perfect plate of “al dente” pasta and a perfect slice of thin crust pizza.

“I have a long standing love affair with pasta, says Avila. “I love to smell it, touch it, see how the sauce blends and covers it. I could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, really.”Welcome to Acquolina, where Master Chef Marco Avila’s culinary symphony serenades your senses.
As a boy in Pisa, Marco was spellbound by his Nona Marina’s pasta magic. This love flourished into ‘La Siesta,’ his coastal gem combining tradition and innovation. At Acquolina, Marco’s dishes are a flavorful embrace, intertwining his Tuscan roots with daring creativity.
