The Talpa is a Mexican Restaurant and Bar that has been serving Real Mexican Food since 1962. Family owned and operated, its extensive menu features traditional favorites created from authentic time-tested recipes as well as newer original creations. From the chips, salsa and guacamole to soups, sauces and flan, everything is homemade. Among the many favorites featured as “Especiales de la Casa” are Pescado a la Veracruzana, Tostada Ceviche, Canasta de Camarones, Gallina en Mole, Pork Chile Verde and Steak Picado. The Shrimp Cocktail a la Talpa is a classic. The full bar offers original no-mix Margaritas, other Talpa mixed drink specials, over 30 beers, 27 tequilas, and a selection of wines. Considered the most authentic restaurant in West Los Angeles, the friendly staff, hand-painted murals and intimate environment give it a cozy neighborhood feel. Many Talpa customers have made The Talpa their “to go” restaurant for decades.
