Benu is a small restaurant housed in a historic building in SOMA. We aim to distill fine dining down to the elements we find most important: precise and thoughtful preparation, exceptional products and caring service. We offer only our tasting menu, which is globally inspired, personal and comprised of the best products we can find.

We offer a fixed menu that features a wide variety of seafood and vegetables, a few meat courses, and some sweets. Please plan three hours for your dinner. With advance notice, we are happy to adjust the menu to accommodate certain dietary restrictions. If you have previously dined at Benu under a different name, please let us know so that we can plan a new menu for you.

Our wine list contains 300 selections with an emphasis on France, California, Germany, and Austria. We offer a variety of wines and sake by the glass and select beers. Corkage is $80 per 750 ml bottle.
